Knots-of-Love  was founded in 2007, to provide hand-made chemo caps for people experiencing the effects of chemotherapy and other life- threatening illnesses.  The 1,000 Knots-of-Love volunteers around the world knit or crochet over 3,200 caps each month which are shipped to 247 cancer treatment centers, infusion centers, hospitals and oncology offices in all 50 states, Canada, Ireland and Mexico.  Knots-of-Love has shipped over 38,000 caps since its inception.  To become either a knitting or crocheting volunteer for Knots-of-Love, contact Christine Fabiani Shively at christine@knots-of-love.org

Team Breadhead supports Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure in St Louis Missouri.  All donations from Best Chariteas are provided to Team Breadhead for inclusion in their yearly donation to Race for a Cure

The Mission of The Backstoppers is to ensure stability and quality of life for the families of police officers, firefighters, and publically-funded paramedics and EMTs killed in the line of duty in a 17-county coverage area in Missouri and Illinois by providing financial and emotional support.  In this way, the Backstoppers and our members honor those who give their lives protecting our communities.

The Pujols Foundation will promotes awareness, provides hope and meets tangible needs for families and children primarily in St. Louis who live with Down Syndrome.  It provides extraordinary experiences for children with disabilities and/or life-threatening illnesses.  The organization seeks to improve standard of living and quality of life for impoverished children in the Dominican Republic through education, medical relief and tangible goods.

YMCA Trout Lodge & Camp Lakewood Provides financial assistance to children and families to insure that no one is turned away from the YMCA for inability to pay. Each year the YMCA serves children with cancer, HIV/Aids, diabetes, Chron's Disease and Colitis, visual impairments and mental disabilities. The YMCA partners with inner city schools teaching peaceful conflict resolution and helps survings families of police officers killed in the line of duty rebuild their lives.  Families facing financial difficulties are welcomed to Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood provides a life changing experience for disadvantaged children.

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God's starving children hungry in body and spirit.  The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals designed specifically for starving children and FSMC ships the meals to more than 60 countries around the world.  In 2007 FSMC sent 43 million meals around the world thanks to the work of 185,000 volunteers.

Team Fox ( Michael J Fox Foundation ) The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. As the largest nonprofit funder of PD research worldwide, MJFF works to identify and prioritize scientific solutions that hold promise to improve patient's quality of life. Team Fox is the Foundation's community fundraising arm.

E Joy Community Resource Center)     E Joy Community Resource Center, Inc. (E Joy) is a non-profit, 501c3 organization based in Roslyn Heights with a satellite site in Holbrook, LI. that provides immediate and long term assistance to individuals and families in need.  Established in memory of the founder’s late mother in-law who lost her battle with cancer in 1995 but dedicated her life to helping others. E Joy’s mission is to promote self-sufficiency and empowerment to economically disadvantaged individuals and families living in unexpected pockets of poverty in otherwise high income areas. E Joy provides hunger relief to children and families to include delivery to the homebound and disabled, free summer lunch and school supplies for underprivileged children, community outreach, advocacy for senior citizens, health & wellness workshops and job readiness training.

Long Island Head Start     Long Island Head Start is a private, not-for-profit organization that has been helping families with special needs on Long Island since 1966. The various programs serve over 1600 children, helping thousands of Long Islanders raise healthy, happy families. The mission of the agency is to provide a comprehensive learning environment to children respectful of their cultures and to assist families in reaching self-sufficiency through the combined efforts of parents, community, and staff. Long Island Head Start provides services in over 20 centers throughout Suffolk County.
